PracticeFlow was born inside a practicing CA and CS firm in Jaipur, juggling over 100 clients across Excel sheets and WhatsApp groups. Every recurring GST filing, every ROC due date, every client asking “is my return filed?” was tracked in a spreadsheet that only one partner really understood — and updated over messages that got buried within hours.

The moment that started it was an ordinary one: a missed DIR-3 KYC deadline for a long-standing client, caught only when the DIN showed up deactivated during a bank loan application. Nobody had been negligent — the deadline simply lived in a spreadsheet organized by company, not by director, and slipped through with no one to blame but the system itself.

We tried generic project management tools next. They helped for a while, but none of them understood that a CA firm doesn't need a task called “File GST Return” — it needs a system that knows which client files monthly, which is on QRMP, and which is a composition dealer, and generates the right task on the right schedule automatically. We came to believe Indian firms deserved software built around Indian compliance from the ground up, not a foreign tool adapted with a rupee symbol.

So we built that system ourselves, first for our own practice, then for a handful of friends running their own firms. PracticeFlow is the product of that process — refined by firms who use it every single filing cycle, not designed in isolation from a feature checklist.
